Television operating systems are not interchangeable

Samsung Tizen, LG webOS and Roku TV do not install a conventional VPN client. These guides show how to connect the television through a compatible router and assign only the television to the VPN route where the router supports policy routing.

Configure the router

Create a separate Dashboard profile and import it into a compatible WireGuard or OpenVPN router.

Assign the television

Use the router's device or policy-routing controls to send the television through the VPN tunnel.

Verify playback

Confirm the router shows an active tunnel, then restart the television's network connection and test it.
