Each TekLan VPN plan covers a number of connections: how many devices can be connected to the VPN at the same time. Every app is included, so one plan covers your phone, computer, TV and browser.

What uses a connection
A connection is used while a device is connected to the VPN, and freed when it disconnects. You can install the apps on more devices than your plan covers; only the number connected at the same time is limited.
- Each device connected with a TekLan VPN app, or a WireGuard or OpenVPN profile from the Dashboard.
- Each browser connected with the TekLan VPN extension.
- A VPN router: one connection, however many devices sit behind it.

Do I need a separate plan for each app?
No. One plan covers every TekLan VPN app and the browser extension.
What if I reach my limit?
Disconnect a device you are not using, or move to a bigger plan in the client area.
I’ve got a new phone. Do I need to remove the old one?
No. Just sign in on the new device. We count devices connected at the same time, not fixed devices, so switching is fine within your plan’s number of connections.
Can I install the app on more devices than my plan covers?
Yes. The plan limits how many are connected at the same time, not how many have the app.
