Update my card or payment method
Your plan renews automatically with the payment method saved in the client area. When a card is replaced or about to expire, update it there and renewals carry on as normal.
Short answer: Sign in, open Automatic payments in the client area and choose the card or PayPal account that pays your renewals; a new card can also be added under Payment Accounts. If an invoice is already due, you can pay it with the new method straight away.
Step by step
Change the card that renews your plan
- Sign in at the client area.
- Open Automatic payments and choose Card or PayPal, then follow the steps to add the new card or link your PayPal account.
- Cards you’ve saved are also listed under Payment Accounts in the account menu.
- Have an unpaid invoice? Open it and pay with the new method.
The reminder email
“Your card is about to expire”
That email just lets you know the card on file is about to expire. It doesn’t change your plan. Add your new card on the Automatic payments page to keep payments automatic, or pay each invoice yourself when it arrives.
Questions
Frequently asked
Which payment methods can I use?
Card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device offers them) and PayPal, plus the others listed on our payment page.
Will updating my card charge me straight away?
No. The new card is used for the next renewal, or for an invoice you choose to pay now.
I subscribed in the iPhone or Mac app. Where do I change the card?
Apple bills those subscriptions, so change the payment method in your Apple Account.
